                                                            Basic Rifle Class - Introduction to the AR-15/M-4 (2-Day)
This 2-day training course provides students with knowledge about the AR-15 platform.  This class is perfect for students new to the AR-15 platform, but also for experienced students. 
Students will become familiar with the rifle, and will learn basic rifle-handling skills that are essential for safe operation and shooting of the rifle.  Students will learn:
          Nomenclature
          Mechanical Operation of the rifle
          Assembly/ Disassembly of all components
          Care and cleaning
          Function checking
          Marksmanship fundamentals for a rifle
          Basic gun-handling skills
          External ballistics and projectile trajectory
          Zeroing the iron and electronic sights
          Point Of Aim (POA) and Point Of Impact (POI)
          Loading/Reloading/Unloading
          Malfunctions associated with the platform and clearing malfunctions
          Various shooting positions
          Shooting for different distances
          Gear and accessories

Tuition: $350

Requirements: Pen and paper for notes, rifle w/ iron sights and/or electronic sights, at least 3 magazines, eye and ear protection, baseball type hat, rifle sling, gun cleaning kit.
Recommended: Magazine carrier, shooting mat, rain gear, water for drinking, sunscreen, bug repellant, knee and elbow pads. 
Ammunition: 300 rounds of .223/5.56 rifle ammunition.  Must be new factory loaded from a major manufacturer.  NO RELOADS ALLOWED.

​                                                Illinois Concealed Carry License Courses

The following curriculum has been approved by the Illinois State Police and has been assigned Curriculum Approval ID # CCC13A1046

Because we understand that the majority of the people seeking to be licensed have busy lives and might not be able to dedicate an entire weekend to attend classes, we are using a unique schedule for classes.  The 16-hr course is broken into 4 - 4 hour training blocks, along with a 2 hour range block (yes, that does equate to 18 hours).  This allows the student to attend the classes based on their schedule.  These blocks must be taken in order.  And for those that can commit to an entire weekend, one weekend a month we will be putting on the entire course (except the 2 hour range block).

Upon registering into the course, all you need to do is sign up for the dates you want 1 week prior to the scheduled class.
